BayVAN celebrates it’s 2011 Artist Registry with, Summer in the City, a group show showcasing the diversity and talent of our artists with selections from the BayVAN Registry. Joshua Martinez works with traditional photography processes, utilizing classic photographic mediums like silver bromide to create deep, lush prints. Judy Johnson-Williams works with cardboard using a blade to carve away layers revealing the underlying textures to create detailed images. Chris Ritson creates fantastic origami creatures from magazine pages, often utilizing human faces and eyes to create the animal faces, wings and fur.
