Artist Statement:
I am interested in using photographic mediums to document the landscape as a series of sites with which I interact. By applying myself as a documentarian, a performer, and an instigator of situations, I use the photograph both as a means to depict an investigation of my surroundings, and as a tool to indict its own aspects of process and materiality as analogs of meditation and memory. For me, each step of the photographic process is an equally significant element that contributes to the experience of the picture as an object that describes its own history.
