Artist Statement:

I have worked as a public artist and muralist for thirty-five years with a number of highly visible projects in the Bay Area, Los Angeles and elswhere. The works have been featured in Books and film. Lately I have been making large scale digital photographs in pursuit of a more private vision. Some of these images serve as reference for the more public paintings; others are simply artistic investigations for their own sake. Overall I try to make work that is not bound by a frame; that leaks into the surrounding territory. This effort leads me to installations and the use of different methods and materials to create an aesthetic impact.
