Artist Statement:

My work is exploring relationships between material, process, and concept. Usually the displacement of function in ordinary materials comes into contact with highly obsessive process. I try to work with universal materials, often times ephemeral by the nature of its industrial or utilitarian function in the world. The material finds a new way of existing through the frame work of fine art by the means in which I transform the material and how it relates back to life and intent.  Art for me relates to life, the objects relate to humans, humans relate back to the objects, and the process or intervention of the artist relates to experience.
